Well I'm somewhat new to Ferion but I just came up with the thought of planetary infrastructure.Yes I know,there are allready factories/scilabs/clonecenters.But what I was thinking about was moneymaking buildings and buildings/techs that improve mining.
Ex:miningtechnique givs +1 to all ores on each planet (not Rings)
or a bank that gives something like +100 money/turn.
These additions should not be complex otherwise the game gets to hard. I do like the simplicity in the game so far.But it would ad some more depth in to it.
This (maybe) would give the smaller ones a change against bigger opponents.

The +1 in ore production is little for a 1000 planet player but it just might give the 50 planet dude a little edge to his planets.
Banks then again could be to strong but thats just numbercrunching.

The techtree addition could be like this:


Infrastucture-->PlanetaryInfrastructure-->SolarInf.-->GalacticInf.
You could research Infrastr. immediatly. PlanetaryI. after Subterrain, SolarI. after Lunar and Galactic when you have like Interdimensional.

if such things are implemented, they should ESPECIALLY work on ringworlds, cause that`s the thing most of the game is about.

Well yes they are a tech you need to research.And Eddi,I didn't mean that there wouldn't be any improvments for Rings.The SolarInf. and GalacticInf. would both have improvements for Rings.

i like the mining building.. because there is always 1 kind of u need for berzoid ...

maybe the bank could work with 100*sqrt(number of banks)
or 1k*sqrt(number of banks) so banks are usefull for small empires(and in the beginning we are all small)

oh god can u imagine trying to cope with all the stuff going on on all the different planets?

I think the game is at a good level of complicated-ness already

Any sort of leveller would make this game better (the settler cost for instance is an excellent idea, although annoying).
But more buildings is great, increasing buildings mean that your score goes up as well, and it would add a new strategy if people had to think about the right time to research the stuff. (like ore converting)

I'm glad some of you like the idea.I would like to add that my original idea was that the banks would be a building (of course) but that the miningtechnique would be an addition.Right now you can mine everything without research (I don't want to change that), when you research say the PlanetaryInf and the subtech miningtechnique you would get +1 to every planet.Ex if the planet was +5/+5 verotan/nucloid, after the research it would be?+6/+6.

I think it would give me a headache trying to research more things, I have troubles researching everything by turn 100!. O well I suck anyways Ferion is complicated to me as it is lets keep things where they are at and give the newbies a chance :)
